Olivia E Lashley, is the artist and founder of Art Satiety - “The Art of Satisfaction.”
Olivia began painting in May 2011 when she started experimenting with different mediums and finishes. Her most recent endeavours include this collection of raised metallic textured paintings on glass, board, canvas mirror and foil.
Olivia or “Livz” as she is known to family and friends, is the youngest of five siblings and was born, raised and still resides in a suburb of London.
In her early 20's she overcame the tragic death of her older sister Rosemarie, and personally battled two life threatening illnesses, which lead to a “deeper” mental and spiritual perspective on life as she knew it.
Olivia has always examined and explored her diverse creative abilities. First, as a young child in theatre, and much later moving on to graduate as a classically trained chef and master baker. Then, years later, Olivia ventured into the esoteric world where she studying vibration healing and Sufi colour healing, before becoming a master clinical hypnotherapist, and most recently, she gained her certification as an expressions life coach.
Painting provides Olivia with the perfect vehicle for her creative expression and personal freedom. “Her” trees, which are featured in all of her work, demonstrate a simple, yet complex representation of our Spiritual Self as we evolve through life.
Olivia States, "These paintings are inspired by the natural beauty that can be found in the twists and turns of living life as a cerebral, sentient soul.I feel trees mimic our innate ability to mentally, emotionally and spiritually travel along many paths in many directions searching for contentment, connection and enlightenment. The natural outcome is not always that which we expected, or indeed perceived we needed, but in retrospect, and with a change in mental focus, an insight is gained, as a revelation is realised.
I specialise in Original, 'one-of-a-kind' Raised Metallic Textured Surface Paintings & Interpretive wired sculptures. I DO NOT make prints or copies, nor is my work mass produces. Olivia’s muse is the “Tree” and it’s representation of life.
Her compelling art work draws the viewer into the “essence” of the painting. The eye focuses on different things each time the painting is contemplated. Sometimes, they actually transforming before your eyes as the captured light embraces its essence. Olivia’s art does more than adorn a room; her paintings have an internal presence and an external consentience.
As an expressions life coach, vibration healer, and hypnotherapist, Olivia has made a commitment to assist people by using her artistic creativity as a tool for experiencing personal inner freedom.
